Daniel (Monitor Apache)

Monitor Apache has been teaching children and adults Omulu Capoeira at All Stars Martial Arts for the last nine years. Prior to teaching at this site, Monitor Apache taught capoeira in various locations throughout the Bay Area. One of the driving factors for his motivation to teach is to empower individuals and help develop self defense skills in others. The combination of Dance, Music, and Self-Defense mix into a vibrant and beautiful reflection of the birth place of modern Capoeira, Brazil.
Daniel "Apache" has been training capoeira for the last 21 years with Omulu Capoeira. Apache began training with the late Mestre Carlos Aceituno in 2000. Daniel trained for the following six years with Mestre Aceituno. During that time Apache trained on occasion with Mestre Preguica. Daniel continued his training with various instructors in the group. In 2010 Apache traveled to Brazil to attend a week long training Encontro. Having learned much about the culture and training hard, Apache returned to LA to recieve his green belt from Mestre Preguica. Apache teaches classes to children and adults to refine his skill and pass this beautiful art form on to future generations.
